1. Proposed Research Direction (anyone direction)
(1) High-precision optical fiber timing and synchronization network.
Research works including high-precision time scale, frequency and phase integrated synchronization method based on the network, and applications in the direction of networked timekeeping and timing.
(2) No-sensor-attached information acquisition method based on optical fiber network.
We aim at exploring the hidden functions of fiber network, by improving the fiber vibration detection techniques in localizing precision and sensing range, and further realize the fiber-based traffic measurement, infrastructures' health monitoring and earthquake parameter extraction applications.
(3) Synchronization and Timing System for SKA2
A timing and synchronization system applied to the second phase of Square Kilometer Array (SKA2), an international science and engineering project, is developed to meet the high coherence requirements of each receiving unit of SKA, thereby ensuring that SKA has the observation ability of high sensitivity, high resolution and wide field of view at the same time.
