The phase sensitive vibration detection on fiber network
Optical fiber network, one of the largest infrastructures, is expected to be utilized as sensing network in human activity measurement, earth observation and geodesy fields. We will combine the time frequency synchronization technique with fiber vibration sensing method, to realize a large-scale vibration detection based on fiber network. The application fields include high precision localizating of vibration events (traffic, earthquake); parameter extraction of traffic pattern and freight load; health monitoring of infrastructures (road, bridge) in urban area. We aim at exploring the hidden functions of fiber network, promoting its sensing potentials, and further facilitate the construction of smart city.
