2022 Neuromorphic Robot Chip Research Selected as Top 10 Advances in China’s Chip Science of the Year

On May 26, 2023, the editorial department of Chip issued a certificate of honor to Professor Luping Shi’s team at Tsinghua University, whose 2022 research achievement was selected into the 2022 Top 10 Advances in China’s Chip Science (Chip10 Science).Published in Science Robotics on June 15, 2022, the paper presented a neuromorphic computing chip with spatiotemporal elasticity designed for multi-agent task robots, effectively addressing the computing power and power consumption bottlenecks of traditional robots. The paper was co-authored by young researchers from the team and Professor Luping Shi.This selection combines public voting and expert review, serving as an authoritative selection in China’s chip sector. The selection validates the original value of the team’s neuromorphic chip technology and offers vital support for the research, development and scenario application of domestic low-power intelligent robot chips.
