In the paper published in Optics Express, Haiqing Hao, an undergraduate who trained in SRT in our research group, proposed an indoor eavesdropping method based on the optical fiber, and the method to prevent it. As soon as the paper was posted on Arxiv, it attracted a lot of attention and was picked up by foreign publications and websites, such as New Scientist, sparking a lot of discussion on social platforms such as twitter. This paper analyzes the noise of eavesdropping system, focuses on the signal to noise ratio and signal recovery of eavesdropping information, and finally gives four methods to prevent eavesdropping. In fact, this article does not hope to expand the application of eavesdropping methods, but to conduct professional assessment and prevention methods for the indoor optical fiber eavesdropping. The results are predictive and are expected to be popularized as a way to prevent privacy leaks.
